Through the mirror we can contemplate a reality that otherwise we do not see or we would not know how to see.
The Harley Davidsons are for me a luxury stage full of polished surfaces that reflect the other visions that transcends beyond reality itself.
For millennia, the mirror has been granted with all kinds of properties.
Personally, and regarding my painting, it is like an open door to another dimension, a connection to other worlds. I also see it as a reflection of the soul, of the true self.
The distorted reflections of the chrome suggest me thoughts that connect with myself, those deformed images that seem to be seen as a result of the intake of some hallucinogen.
Actually, i have never liked to explain what is in my paintings, always thought that works should speak for themselves and each viewer has to do with the emotions in the future, according to their particular perception.
Many people ask me why i am so passionate about reflections in chrome and other reflective surfaces and this is just a small sample of what i feel since a subject falls in love with me and i start up all the machinery of the process. Possibly, there will be those who only see in my work the copy of a photograph, however, nothing is further from reality.
My technical process has nothing to do with a simple photo, although i use to represent what i want but, in my opinion, the painting (using the flamenco slang), has 'duende', pinch, definitely has that sould that goes beyond photography.
